Dining

Joining us for dinner in Martinstown House is always a special occasion. We eat at one large table in the beautiful dining room. We serve an excellent five course dinner, chosen to best suit the season and occasion of the dinner by our Ballymaloe Cookery School trained cook. Much of what we cook comes from the gardens, with all our meat provided by excellent local producers, such as Nolan’s Butchers, in Kilcullen. If you would like to join us for dinner then you must book at least 24 hours in advance of your arrival and that any and all allergies and preferences are mentioned.

We pride ourselves on our hearty breakfasts. These will usually include: freshly squeezed orange juice, freshly brewed coffee or tea, yoghurt, cold meats, cheese and fresh cut fruit to compliment our home-made muesli. These, however, are just a precursor to the generous self service cooked breakfast of crispy grilled bacon, Nolan’s sausages, mushrooms, grilled tomato and creamy scrambled eggs, from our own free-range hens.

For larger events we often transform the drawing room into a beautiful dining room, were we can seat up to 44.

We can and have catered for all style of events, from garden parties in our stunning walled garden, cocktail parties with live music and dancing in the drawing room to intimate family lunches to celebrate a special occasion: a birthday, or Christening.
